I actually think now could be a good time to think about doing this. Myers has got enough influence these days that he could get it done - and I always liked these movies a lot better than the Austin Powers series. It could be funny to take a slightly different spin on things - see how Wayne and Garth have "grown up". Perhaps they've fallen out of touch, slumped into boring jobs etc, with the third movie somehow bringing them back together.

Lol, the funny thing is today I was thinking of this:
How about Wayne & Garth want the TV show to go national, so they try to negotiate it out, and along the way alot of strange and funny things happen.

Are you a screenwriter? Because this is, by far, the greatest treatment I have ever read for a movie ever.
The idea about Wayne and Garth wanting their tv show to go national is a lot like the plot of the first Wayne's World, except it's: bigger, larger, greater, wider, and overall just a much better idea. And I can only imagine what these "strange and funny things" are.
Brilliant work, you got the job.

Yeah, genius idea, that's gold. I'm sure it will just write itself. I seriously doubt wayne's world would do very well in this day and age. Time has passes and with drastic change. Take a good look at the music of today, then put it next to the music of the early 90's. Yeah wayne's world will work in this pop/rap/r&b age, NOT!
However, I do think if they ever do a Waynes World 3, that Wayne and Garth should be complete Polar opposites of who they were in the original films. Both working desk jobs with a clean cut look and business suit to go along. There show will have been cancelled due to finacial difficulties (something like wayne and garth both having to support children), and replaced by some Christian prayer group show, or an infomerical for hair cream. They would both be the epitome of every old classic rock fan, looking his nose down at the modern music of today.Yada Yada Yada, they save Rock n Roll in another series of adventures. Throw in a naked indian, a dead rock legend, a slick buisness man, and you got yourself a movie. Cut and Print.

i agree with fmagg19, regarding the fact that today's music has changed. in fact, today's music sucks!! (not the point though) however, i rather the idea posted by blueheaven, in which Wayne and Garth have both fallen out of touch, and somehow meet again. from this reunion, they could decide to once again have their tv show, and begin to influence people in returning the the music of the early 90's. after all, lets face it, aerosmith from 10-20 years ago is sooo much better than today this is also applicable to bon jovi, red hot chili peppers, metallica, pearl jam, and numerous others

                  WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!!!???
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are a GREAT band! The others kinda suck, but the Peppers are great. And I hope you realize that they've been around since beforethe first Wayne's World was made. They're on their way to being classic. And Aerosmith is NOT that good. They're a good band yes, but a better band is sayBruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, or The RamonesI could go on if you wanted me to. There are plenty of great ROCK bands today, just like there were in the early '90s, '80s, and '70's. And some really bad stuff happened in the '90s too. Like Vanilla Ice.
I'm not sure a Wayne's World 3 would be a good idea, it'd run the risk of critics reaming and saying it's a "Has-Been" movie and such. Which would be crap. But anyways, I like all the previous idea. Especially rescuing America from today's dumb rap and hip-hop trends, and bringing us back to good ol' rock. And Today's music does NOT suck, you just don't listen to the write bands.
And The Red Hot Chili Peppers are better than Aerosmith. Especially Red Hot Chili Peppers from 10-20 YEARS AGO.

Wayne & Garth should both be adults stuck in crappy jobs when they meet up again and try to get their show back on the air.
Also, the music change is a GOOD thing. Wayne & Garth are metalheads, and just think of all the jokes they can make while in a music store or club due to this. Now that they're grown up and grown out of their teenage behavior, music, TV show, etc, once they try to go back, everything will be differant. Can just imagine the first time they get back together and go to a club and a pop song come on and the looks on their faces. Plus, they have to go to the junkyard, where far in the back covered in weeds, they buy back, the Mirth Mobile.

Hey, Wayne's World 3 would be great. A touch of make-up. And hey, it dosn't have to take place in the 2000s. It could take place back in the '90s. I'd watch it if both Dana and Myers returned. It help weigh my decission if Cassandra came back. Hey, it could work if Myers does his part.

I TOTALLY agree with you here! Coping with the change of music culture and their aging bodies would be hilarious but would also shine some heart on the series. Gosh have you ever heard of the Fubar series? The sequel Fubar: Balls to the Wall is coming out soon and the trailer looks freakin hilarious!! It makes me think of what Waynes World 3 COULD HAVE been and also the main character remind me so much of Wayne and Garth. Im so excited to check it out bc we may not have to dream about Waynes World 3 anymore!!!

Arguing about whether Aerosmith is better than RHCP is like arguing whether you'd rather eat beep or get a paper cut on your eyeball, neither is really that good.

Aerosmith Is Way better than the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Who aren't that great by the way. and they are better than Bruce springsteen and the ramones.
I think it would be fun with a new waynes world or anyway somekind of movie in that kind of style, most comedies to day are way 2 dramatic, or just not as funny. and most of the comedies today are too repetive.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have gone WAAAAY downhill since their early days.. and Vanilla Ice was not that bad a thing. THat song owned the world for a few months and I still get requests very often to play it. Bad stuff in the 90's can be related more to many a things.. But not Vanilla Ice!
Perhaps Wayne & Garth are forced to change the format of their show to accomidate the change in music and they are bashed by the remaining rock fans until they set out on a quest to revive real rock and roll again. They bring in a few of the newer groups and a great classic one for a great Waynestock 2
That totally revamps the music scene. Throw in Cassandra and Crucial Taunt and like it was said above, a slick businessman and a lot of hurl jokes.. Waynes World 3 is born.. However after this long a wait, it will have to somehow be epic in order to get any real attention. The MTV awards had my hopes way up!

you're an amateur director with no movies on the record?
Let me guess, you're 13, you own a camera and you and some silly friends of yours are making a movie so that you might impress some girl you like or maybe to become "cool".
Yeah sounds like it, especially considering your site being on GEOSHITTIES.
