What were those yellow thingies next to Chandler's espresso?

I was just watching Season 1 again, TOW the East German Laundry Detergent. Chandler is super high on espresso, but next to the cups are some yellow thingies, which to me, look like lemon peels (but we don't usually put lemon in our coffees right?)
