Anyone wish Phoebe had ended up with David?

I didn't like Phoebe's b!tchyness either, but she was nicer with David. She seemed like a different person. Look at the episode where he comes back for a night in season 7. It's just different and real. They don't have to spend months and years with each other to have that connection, that mutual innate attraction.

Yeah. I consider that honeymoon phase. Which is easy to be in when they haven't even spent a full month together in the time they knew each other. Have they even slept together? I honestly don't know.
I didn't take their relationship seriously. I just saw it as a fling. Especially when Phoebe doesn't even seem to think about David until he shows up again. Out of sight, out of mind.
I put David in the same boat with her Submarine guy (Charlie Sheen), whom she's crazy about when she sees him every 2 years for 2 days. -

I don't know if he's out of her thoughts when he's not there. He's just not brought up because, well, it's a comedy. But when he IS there, it's treated seriously, not for laughs, and even her friends treat it like it's a big deal. I haven't watched the early episodes with him for a while, but I am pretty sure they have slept together. They have told each other they love one another, so it makes sense. It might not be shown much in the show, but I think it is certainly felt.

Phoebe should've ended up as a lesbian.
Ursula offered to get her into porn, twins make alot of money. How funny that Ursula would actually go there with Phoebe.

Wait whuh? That sounds messed up. Why would that be funny?
But getting back to the OP's question, doesn't it bother anybody that David lied to Phoebe by claiming he couldn't be with her because he was going to a non-existent place. That isn't a very nice guy.
Everyone may have an opinion but very few seem to have an informed one. -

What are you talking about, him lying about going to a non-existent place? He really did go to Minsk! -

I wish that David didn't leave in season 1, but I suppose Hanks committment to The Simpsons, and other films, made it difficult to stay on for a longer arc. I don't think though that he and Phoebe would end up together in the end, however. As Silverwolf pointed out and I agree with, David is too nice for her. In the later appearances of the show, David comes off as he wouldn't be able to handle her weirdness or her rudeness (as Phoebe is mean in seasons 4 and beyond), and he's simply too nice and respectful.

Interesting to think about. I might agree, but thinking it through, I could handle Hank's character if it were given as much air time as Paul's
I wonder how they would have handled the story line of him and Ross hanging out in TOW Rachel's phone number. -

I never really understood the love for David/Phoebe. He was too much of a pushover and he chose his career over Phoebe. I know she pushed him to, but he had a choice. They were together for 5 minutes and had no lasting impact on the show, imo.

Yeah, me neither. None of Phoebe's mates seemed a great match for her. Maybe the best would be Gary from Season 5.
I don't like either David or Mike, though. I just watched TOW In Barbados the other day and again showed me how I just don't like either of them. David is more of an underdog, but still he is dorky to a fault. Mike, IMO, is just very blah.
