Redacting the child porn and the faces of victims is understandable. My problem is with the redactions of the names of the perpetrators like Donald Trump and Elon Musk. Nobody should ever be protecting pedophiles.

The (, toothless) passed by Congress and signed into law by trump allows for redacting the victims identies. I think that's it.
Rule of law is great when one knows it will never be followed or enforced.
I think the law created exceptions for ongoing cases, which is pretty broad and can get applied to events long since known. So perfect weak law
