Canadians love a good dig at ourselves, its part of the beauty of our culture. We are not easily offended, and enjoy a hearty laugh at our own expense. Besides, there's a lot more to the humour of this movie - look a bit deeper.

I share the same opinions as a few others on here, I've never been offended about how we've been portrayed in movies. I like a dig at Canada just as much as Americans do, and all the more so because Canadians tend to take it in stride and shrug it off, "not the end of the world" sort of thing. If anyone slanders Americans in movies, they're up in arms and start freedom rallies and how America is the best and anyone that makes fun of them are terrorists.
Like I've said in another thread on here, when that happens, I just go to the doctor's because my tummy hurts, free of charge. -

As a Canuck myself, I can agree with your statement. Most Canadians have no trouble at all laughing at themselves. Why if it wasn't for us laughing at ourselves, we'd just be freezin' our butts off in our igloos for nothing! ; )
