In one part of the movie James Belushi (I believe) apologizes to the camera talking about the "people too close to the fire" does anybody know what he is talking about ? Was it a reference to his brothers overdose or what ?

I thought he said "people too close to the curb" implying that the reporter had had a car accident, either from being drunk or on drugs, because just before that, the other reporter said that Belushi's character was fresh from the Betty Ford clinc

I think that he ran over the curb and hit someone(s) while DUI. Just rewatched it last week and that's what I got out of it.
