i mean, it does all make sense, nothing is out of the ordinary, but why was this movie in a city? i think the COTC movies were all better in small little hick towns, but that's just my opinion. 1-2, 4-5 are. (haven't seen 6-7 yet). Anyways, out of the first 5, this is probably my 2nd least favorite, least being #4 since it doesn't exactly go with with "HEWBTR." I still enjoy them all though. What about your thoughts?

I agree with you that I like the small town deal. I miss it being in Gatlin. 3,5, and 7 take the film out of Gatlin which I too hate. I wished they wouldn't stray from Gatlin I do love that town so. Anyway, 6 does go back to that lovely little town called Gatlin but then 7 takes it right back out again. 7 or Revelation is my least fave because it strays from all of the COTC films into it's own little world. It's just not COTC like. I also answered you post on the COTC main board.

I didn't think #4 was in Gatlin. I just thought it was in another little hick-town? Since they didn't mention it being that town? Maybe I'm just confused on something. Thanks for answering all my questions! I do have some other questions for you, which I'll post sometime tomorrow, but I need some sleep.

I also love the town Gatlin, even though it is not real.

Children of the Corn IV: The Gathering is set in a town called Grand Island, Nebraska. Burt and Vicki mention this city in COTC 1.
The sweet little children of Gatlin have chained the door!

You can't stay in the same place forever you know. People would get bored of it. Which is probably why they changed it. Just like how Resident Evil was set in Raccoon City for 2, 3, and Outbreak 1 and 2 but then they changed it.

That's probably true but, there is so much you could still do with it being set in Gatlin. Or in Hemingford like COTC 2 is. Hemingford is the town that is t9 miles away from Gatlin. It would help if the people making the films would actually refer back to the previous ones so that there aren't as many plot holes as there are now. Because, honestly there are tons of things that have ended up not making sense in the franchise because so many of the sequels do go off and do their own thing.
Janice Van Meter got hit with a baseball. . . it was fabulous!

I guess to show that the corn can spread anywhere, so no place is safe.
