He turns his father into a scarecrow. He makes all of the children believe his preachings about HWWBTR. He kills his foster mother by drawing a picture of her and marking her out in it. He kills a foster nurse by appearing to her in her work when he blows a candle and sets her face on fire. Also his corn field where he originally lived kills a kid by ripping his head off and pulling his spinal cord out.

He carries corn kernels that are also bugs which infiltrate the school's cafeteria, and this is how he is able to sort of hypnotise/manipulate the school children. He controls the living cornstalks that can wrap around people, and also commands the head of a man burried underneath the rows from the neck-down. He also has the power to control objects, for instance in the one scene where he kills the school's priest/minister with a cross- he controls how the minister sees it, making it come alive in the form of a VERY COOL looking nun/Virgin Mary statue. He is able to shoot negative energy beams out of one of those scythes/cicles (a very Power Rangers-like special effect). And then his death brings on the appearence/presence of the Monster who walks behind the rows. And the monster, who might as well still be Eli, is able to turn soil into quicksand without touching it or adding chemicals, as well as force sharp blades to fly up and stab people at random.

Bet his turns at 'show n' tell' were memorable.
When darkness overcomes the heart, Lil' Slugger appears

Wow! Eli sure had the power. I only seen this movie once, and the only thing I remember just a little was the whole scarecrow bit.
              Peace,
              Amanda
