is that b/c it isn't worth much? or that gloating isn't valued enough in modern times?

I think he wanted Meredith to know that he would have loved to gloat about his pwnage of her but he just didn't have time at the moment she confronted him.

-i have always felt that gloating is a low form when speaking of winning. i think there-fore that to gloat is what sore people would do.
-as for 'underrated', i beleive he said it because he was so glad he had the upperhand that he did'nt have to gloat. gloating is underrated because he knows he will always win.
-i'm drunk, and i love this movie
        -take care.

@michael247. no need to gloat when you have the upperhand. makes sense.

Yeah, but if that was the case, gloating would be
              overrated
              , not underrated.
Underrated, implies people don't recognize the pleasure derived from gloating.

Well, sure! You can't really gloat if someone doesn't observe you gloating, and it has to take long enough for someone else to notice.
                          Otherwise what good is it?

Try gloating to yourself. It's very unsatisfying.

and not just because Tom had the upperhand.
In this case, I think he meant "gloating is underrated", because the entire executive staff of both Digicom & Conley-White, Goldman-Sachs officers, & stockholders (along with the whole fricken "world" by the time the news reporters released the story) were all witnesses of Tom getting the upperhand! With an audience like that, gloating would be definitely "underrated"!
