In the opening scene at Tom Sanders' house, Susan says to Tom, "Tom! Matt's got toothpaste all over it!" (referring to Tom's tie having toothpaste smeared on it, by his son, Matt). In the next scene in the car, just before they leave the house, Susan asks Tom, "What's that on your tie?" Tom replies, "Toothpaste, but don't worry about it, let's go."
In the movie, that's not what Susan said in the house. She actually said, "Tom! Matt's got toothpaste all over himself!" In the car, she didn't know what the stain was on Tom's tie until he told her. It wasn't a goof.
