I liked how Dolores got to keep the money in the film, whereas she donated it in the novel.
OK I'm all for donating but seriously. Hasn't this woman suffered ENOUGH?!

Agreed! I was happy for her.
King is hard on females.
It's a hard road Dolores is asked to travel, but I still think King celebrates her resilience and strength of character.

Well, we don't know if Dolores ended up donating the money in the film. The film only took place in a period of about a week (from the time Vera died) and not enough time to even start probating her estate.

We don't know what happened with the money in the film, most likely she donated the money to incest victims.

A better thing to do with the money is give it to her daughter. Everything she did was for her. She killed Joe for her!.
