If it were made in the 1950s, it would probably seem better, because most of the films that it plagiarizes from (including but not limited to Little Big Man, Superman, Zelig, The Great Santini, Midnight Cowboy, etc.) weren't made yet.

It's a film about a man-child who lucks his way through life. I f%cking can't stand this piece of sh!!t film. Forrest Gump is one of the least relatable characters I've ever seen. I can't believe anyone took the effort to conceive this character, first on page and then on screen.
