In a very legal sense it does because he proved to be an escalating threat and was armed each time.
You don't get to attack law enforcement without repercussions. They are trained to defend themselves and for good reason.
How many in law enforcement are gunned down each year? Over a thousand? Each with a family and friends who are likewise affected. Not that you care. Liberals only pretend to care for law enforcement when it helps them politically.
And liberals don't care about these two people. But they will use their deaths for political gain.
Just like the idiot George Floyd. No one really cared about. I doubt his own family cared.
Except now they are filthy rich off his death. THAT they care about.
