Anyone? Has always bugged me, it seems to have changed?

I was literally about to post this exact topic. The Mandela Effect is a hell of a thing. What I would love to do, is to actually ask Anne Rice herself. I'm sure she would say "the" because her website and every damned book/film in existence now is saying "the," but man, it trips me out in the worst way. I will go to the grave saying it was "A."

Yes I remember it as 'a' as well, but after reading this I checked my pre-film copy of the book on the shelf. Was tempted to photoshop an 'a' on the cover and post it just to throw some petrol on the fire.
But no it is THE, just sounds better with A. Memory really is more unreliable than we are willing to admit. -

And Peanuts creator was always Charles Schultz. Now it's Charles Schulz. The t is gone. And in looking it up it says it was always this way. When I know in my heart it was always Schultz. I feel like I'm in a sci-fi movie lately. Switched over to an alternate realty or parallel world.

I know what you mean and how you feel. I believe another possible theory is that time is being messed with. Time travel is real. The powers that be are messing around with the time-line and that is why those of us in our dimension/world are able to notice these little changes here and there. -

It's pretty simple really. The correct word is "The" I have an old copy on my lap right now. However. "With" ends with the same sound as "The." It's very easy to accidentally blend the two sounds together with the "uh" sound becoming separated. Therefore "With the" becomes "With a."
Given time I could probably come up with some more common examples of this taking place, but an older one is how Ned became short for Edward. Originally it was "Mine Ed" which eventually permuated to "My Ned." A simple case of sounds blurring together to form something different.
In this case. The confusion is really understandable and I need to always check back myself because both cased work for the title. And even listening to Rice herself, it's hard to tell whether she is blurring the words together or not. On the bright side, most sites I've checked up on accept either version of the title. -

Yea. I have no doubt it's always been "the". I just watched the movie for the first time tonight after hearing about it lots through my life. Everyone I've talked to has always said "A" vampire. It must be a really common mistake. Kinda like in empire strikes back everyone always says the line "Luke, I am your father". When in reality Vader says " NO.. I am your father". I think it just rolls and sounds better that way.

It was A. I have a clear memory of reading it on netflix and rating the movie on here. There was even an girl from Italy on trailer of Interviw with A Vampire saying "didn't it used to be "A," no "the"." As a non native english speaker, she wouldn't have a clear preference for "A" or "the"
As someone who is into the paranormal "the vampire" would have annoyed me. I would have thought to myself that it sounded like he was the only vampire.
Even the ending to The Elephant Man has changed. -

So your theory is that the mandela effect would effect everyone but you and your copy of the movie? Someone is pretty full of themselves. Maybe there is no mandela effect but if there is, your movie would of changed along with everyone else's.
Here is a clip from siskel and ebert. I listened to it a couple of times. It sure sounds like Ebert says A VAMPIRE

It's the Mandela Effect. That is when reality shifts and you're transported to a similar, but-not-exactly-the-same parallel reality, most likely because CERN's particle collider is actually a time machine. Look it up. It's a real thing.
It changed from "a" to "the" and then, even later, got "the vampire chronicles" added after it.
Deal with it.

This is much deeper than titles changing, lines change like in Forrest Gump, Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, Field of Dreams and others. CERN is evil they have Shiva on their compound as you enter it greets you so that shows you that they may be trying to destroy history? Also their logo has 666 in it look at it closely, and the did a video of dancing ritualistically to Baphomet, and one of the founding scientists held up a sign that says "We are happy here at CERN" with 2 signs around his neck that say BOND #1 and Mandela.(alluding to both Nelson Mandela, and the effect) Scary

You're absolutely right. And every time I check, CERN seems to have been "ratified" earlier and grow larger in size and power. The year that they "invented" the WWW has moved back to 1990 and Tim Berners-Lee apparently named ENQUIRE after a "how to" book called "Enquire Within Upon Everything." He said that its title was suggestive of magic.
