She says "The" in that clip, listen closely and you will hear she says "The" not "A"

My mom and sister read all the Anne Rice books. We even went to see this movie together when it opened. I clearly remember it as "A" and surprised to see I was wrong. Berenstein? ?

I clearly remember it as Interview with a Vampire. I even rated it here on IMDB. I don't remember seeing the vampire chronicles either. The just looks wrong.
I looked up a video of Kristen Dunst, and she says Interview with the Vampire.

                  It has always been
                  the
                  .
And as far as the Vampire Chronicles, her books have had many editions printed and after writing Interview with the Vampire was re-published and is the first book in the vampire chronicles.
                  Edit:
Well, I'm wrong, The Vampire Lestat is the first book in The Vampire Chronicles, according to Rice in her public letter praising the movie.

due to the 'th' at the end of with, "Interview with THE Vampire" and "Interview with A Vampire" sound pretty much exactly the same. That and the fact that the movie features an interview with one vampire (out of many), as opposed to THE only one, it's easy to see why people would have mistaken it as 'A'.

uchyonyj, those were my thoughts exactly.
I am stunned that people are insistent that it used to be "A" rather than "The." It has always been "The."

For those saying "It's always been The" maybe in your reality that is true. But in my reality it used to be A. Trust me on this. I loved this movie. I loved the poster. It was A.
There are interviews with the author herself where she repeatedly calls it Interview with A Vampire. You'd think she'd know what she called it.
Interview with The vampire doesn't even make sense. He's not the only vampire. He's a vampire.

I found two more newspaper listings where it says "Interview with a Vampire".

This proves nothing. Newspapers routinely have typographical errors.

People don't have different realities. Have you done any research at all about the unreliability of memory?

I watched this two days ago when it came on tv and really didn't think about the title. But today I decided to pull it up on here to look at the boards. I put in the search "Interview With A Vampire" and much to my surprise it was wrong.
Mandella Effect for sure. I've seen plenty of videos on it. It's freaky. My sister and I watched the Bears a lot and had a vhs. If she could find that I can guarantee it will have the current spelling, as opposed to the way it was originally spelled, back when we got it.
Like with the person mentioning how they memorized the cover of the book. You've known this since you were a child. Why would YOUR book change? Its creepy enough when these things are changed. But some of can't be programmed by the FCC or whoever to know the current or new way. We have the great knowledge to remember what it actually was.
Parallel Universe is how some describe it. But perhaps mind control? But what about that book then? Did somebody come switch it out when you were not home?
I'm really into this conspiracy stuff. Not in an obsessive way. But I really look into the stuff. So anytime a person states that when they heard a different title then they knew yet they looked into into and that item they have even says it the "new" way, that's some creepy stuff!

This has nothing to do with dippy, hippy conspiracy theory science fiction. It is just a simple example of everyone correcting the bad grammar in the title.
