VFX don't hold up

They went the route of making the effects cartoon-like, which was OK for Stanley.
They really delivered with that lovable, talented little dog, however. And he was strictly the real deal with his acting.
The story is king.

Just my two cents, but the fx in this movie DO hold up and look stunning to this day. I remember being blown away by the effects in this movie and The Shadow back in the theaters. They both have their charms still, but The Mask's fx holds up so well because it was never trying to be realistic.
