Do the adults believe in Santa

So in this universe, Santa obviously exists and delivers gifts every Christmas. Then how come Neil and Laura and all the other adults in the movie brush Scott off and think he's crazy. How do they think those gifts get under the tree every year? Does Santa exist in this universe or not.

HmmYou may have a point there. Maybe Santa has the ability to alter the adults' memory. So, in the morning, when the parents see the gifts that Santa brought, they believe that they put them under the tree instead. Maybe? Possibly?

Possibly? I guess "magic" is the answer here, because it really doesn't make sense. Same goes for other Christmas movies too, like Elf. Clearly Santa exists, yet none of the adults in the film believe in him or that Buddy could possibly be a Christmas elf.
Am I reading too much into classic Christmas movies here??? -

Yep. Most of these
Santa Is Real
movies seem to use the formula that the adults are patronizing toward their kids who still believe in Santa all the while winking smugly at each other that they know Santa isn't real. But in their universe he is. The best example I can think of to exemplify how this is a bit of a plot hole is when Tim Allen pulled a kayak out of his bag. Shouldn't the parents have had a Christmas morning conversation that went something like this:
Mom: "Hey! Great idea getting the kayak! Where did you store it!?"
Dad: "I didn'tI thought you did!?"
Mom: "Well who the heck broke into our house and left a kayak!?"
I love these movies and will accept suspension of disbelief but it is a hard point to ignore as we get older. The only
Santa Is Real
movie I can recall in which the world acknowledges Santa's existence is Santa Claus with Dudley Moore, if I'm remembering it correctly. -

I am pretty sure Magic is involved! I think when kids grow up they stop believing and maybe Santa onlt delivers presents to the adults and kids that believe in him. Perhaps the parents that don't believe have their mind altered so they believe they bought the presents themselves.
All you need is love!
