IMO the rape and attack scenes on Andy are the worst or the hardest for me to watch and bear.
2nd place would be the murder of that Elvis wanna be.
You get to like the guy.
We find out that he would be a witness at helping Andy get out.
Then he can't be. -

yea can you really compare at all?
His only suffering is for one second, he still has his family, fortune, and left a hell lotta hell suffered. Andy did 19years and had to come out through hell basically penniless, familyless, and no real identity. The only thing he had going for him was that fake rich identity.

I dont think so.
They showed this in a very morbid darkside because they never mentioned of him having a family or past friends or even assistance in getting back to society and even of age since he clearly needed. All they did was show him alone and being mistreated by his bosses and society and he felt he had no other choice but in reality I think everybody has more options and even then most people are nice to an elderly especially without knowing about his past.

This is false. He wasnt born there and he knew it way before he got there. They dont really show the reality of this but a lot of prisons get sexual visits, get family and friends to visit, some might even get field trips. There was no reason at all except to point that prison is hell for the sake of story but life out of prison is much much better. Had he got out anything great couldve happen that he had no possibility of in that hell hole and what was so bad about his life anyway? He had a job. He paid his bills. He couldve done anything he wanted. But no that wasnt good enough. They needed to make him depress for no good reason.

we dont really know his age and if he was too old then the shouldve given him aid. I dont think this was a major issue since he seemed to getting along just fine.
