Not sure if this has been mentioned but rewatched it the other day and it has always bothered me with these time travel movies when situations change.
For this movie it seems he would have no memory of having this child or raising him. At first I assumed perhaps his memory came to him (sort of how amnesia victims start remembering their lives) but when he initially returned from the past he was shocked at how things were along with seeing this kid coming out of the house calling him dad.
If this was discussed before ~ what was the conclusion behind it?

In his first future he had no son. He did not even know his wife was pregnant.
When he got back in the end he was more or less shocked that his wife was actually alive. He was also shocked to see his son for the first time.

Guess my concern is that his son is not a baby but a child so did he gain some sort of memory of the sons life or is it a blank slate and he just has to go on from knowing his son at the age he see's him at end of movie?
Like I said in OP seen another movie similar where guy gets instant family in alternate world but just ends up trying to learn about his family via movies/photos.

My guess is no. Agent Walker did not gain any knowledge of his sons life.
          Cheers

Yeah I think it's like a tradeoff - he gets his wife back and now a son, but he has to trade those 10 years of all of his life. Still a great trade!
