So to go back in time you need like a great facility with a rocket and "it is not a one man operation" and to come back you just need a small device that fits in your palm and you can carry in your jacket?

I think the explanation in the comics was that it takes a lot of energy to swim against the current, but very little to ride the current back to where you started. The rocket launches you into a different time and the smaller device holds you there. When you turn the device off, the current of time carries you back to where you're supposed to be.
Or was that another time-travel fiction I'm thinking of? -

wondered about this too.and they have that compact little return devicepress the button and you are on your way back.but you come back in that rocket thing, just like when you left. Where does that rocket go when you go back in time?
