The creator has pointed out on the message board for his podcast (
http://www.drinkswithlarryandlauren.com
you can ask him Nowhere Man questions yourself on the show's board) that, though the ending was planned from the beginning, it was never explicitly stated which parts of Tom's life were false and which might have been real. Isn't it possible some of his memories were based in reality, and the programming happened later?
On the DVD set, in one of the included extras, he talks a bit about where the show might have gone had it not been cancelled. Had there been a second season, the ending to the first may have served simply as a new catalyst to get Tom looking for more answers and into more interesting situations, he reveals.
But as I said, ask him yourself if you'd like. The DWL&L board could always use more members. -

thx but i
ve aready thought to an alternative. Its a little strange but this is my version:
He was Thomas Veil from the beginning. He was caught and transformed into this Gemini which eventually found the truth and was caught again and re-transformed into Thomas Veil but with a different life than that from the beginning.
So, what i wanna say is that he has suffered 2 brain-washings.
Thanks for your attention and sorry if i have speller mistakes
