I recall watching the original b/w outer limits in 1979. However, I do not recall the new outer limits colour.
Was the new outer limits ever aired in the UK?

Yes it was, on Sky One in 90s and then on Sci-fi channel if I remember correctly. I was a huge fan and watched it religiously as a teen.

First couple of seasons aired immediately before the X Files on monday nights on BBC2. Great double header.

Yeah, it aired several seasons on BBC2 during the mid 1990's, I remember I used to watch it in my room back when I was in the military.
