But Lucy Lawless didn't pretend to be bisexual. So you're still wrong

Are you for real? I'm straight and have worn jackets and ties, pants before. A lot of straight women do. This is so lame. Lucy wears that, so she's pretending? I like reading your posts, but I really thought you were better than that. This goes back to very bad old stereotypes: guy wears a pink shirt, therefore he must be gay. Oh no, they're pretending to be bi. Not really, it's just their fashion eccentricity for the day. What a shame.

You went from she says stuff which means she's pretending, changed your tune when that didn't work, to she dressed a certain way meant that she was pretending. Does she try and break barriers and stereotypes, yes. Is she pretending to be bi, no. That's a misnomer. That implies something completely different.
Again assumptions based on clothes are just very bad stereotypes. What is she when she wears a dress? She's pretending to be straight? There are out in open gay/bi women that dress to the nines. What are they? Pretending to be straight? These clothes views are like from the 80s and beyond. Lucy doesn't even dress like that regularly. I think she only dressed like that one time. Oh I know, you're gonna go looking. It's still pretty rare no matter what you find. I look at it as being eccentric, being in a mood, or to say a person can wear whatever they want, not some scheme to pretend she's bi.
Finally, Lucy doesn't need to pretend to be bi to support the gay community. She's famous and a well know supporter of the gay community.

The word you're looking for is support or advocating. Pretending is misnomer.

Its really sad that we live in a society where its okay to pretend to he something youre not just to make a buck. To be fake and not real. It probably why movies and television and remakes or even reboots suck as a whole. Im sorry but i dont see the point of a new Xena. Cant this era of moviemakers and producer create their own stuff instead of remaking something thats been done. It inspires no creativity or realness.

You'd probably hate old Hollywood then because they created an image for their stars depending on their 'persona.'
Global Warming, it's a personal decision innit?

xena and Hercules' ratings were pretty close most of the time. Maybe there was a 0.1 to 0.9 difference from week to week. in season one of xena, hercles tended to have the higher rating. but by season six of Hercules, xena tended to have the higher rating. but what is more interesting is that no matter who had the higher rating, Hercules or xena, the audience for both declined by half compared to season one of Hercules.
regardless of ratings, xena had the stronger fan base.
Hercules was a positive role model, but xena was a badass, a sex symbol, a feminist icon, a lesbian icon, and kickass woman during the girl power movement, and so much more to so many different people. so xena has more appeal.

Xena was outperforming Hercules by season 2. Usually not by much mind you. This is why Sorbo was requesting darker stories for s3-5 and episode 12-15 of Hercules season 3 was "let's get Xena fans over to Hercules" the reason Armageddon now was continuing a plot thread in Xena and featured one of the show's most popular villains and season 5 was finishing off the Dahak storylike that Xena started.

I always got a bit of an obnoxious vibe from this actor (even when he was in character playing Hercules).

I do not like. He is not nice to Xena, Lucy and the fans, this in spite some are fans to herkules too. Oh he is nice at the conventions. He gets the money for the photo and auto. But so, there is much he has said over the years other wise that is awful. He is homophobic. There is the bad in his facebook about many other things that are not to do with Xena. I do not think he is a good person overall. Lucy is a much better person. She has done more for charity than him too.
ty all for very active Xena board.proof it's still so captivating

Lucy appears to be a much warmer person than him, so with her, every nice thing she does looks genuine and from the heart.
When it comes from him, it always looks like he's got an ulterior motive. Like a politician. In this case, he's probably trying to repair his reputation. Doesn't seem to be working. Even the way he smiles, it's so fake.
Lucy seems to glow with genuine goodness in every picture I see of hers.
