Yea, you may want to think smaller Nike. There is no way in hell those names would sign on.
For Xena and Gabby, I'm not sure whether I should go with looks or acting skills. If producers are just looking for an attractive chick to kick ass, they could choose Jessica Lowndes. She's very attractive, fit and looks like Xena somewhat. I actually CAN picture Dakota as Gabby. -

Although I agree that Jessica Lowndes is incredibly beautiful, I don't see her as a warrior type. She's dainty. Instead, I can picture her 90210 co-star Jessica Stroup. She stands at 5'8" and I can see her yielding a chakram and/or sword.

was my first choice for Xena but alas she got another show.so depending on how long she goes on SHIELD,
Adrianne Palicki
is my next choice ..if not, 3rd option is
Mandy Moore
and if not, then my LAST option is
Jessica De Gouw

Personally no preference for Gabby yet, but if they go for a unknown actress, I would pick
Anna Hutchison

For Ares, its hard to out do Kevin Smith, but per looks alone and similar acting, I'd pick

I think they should search for the cast based on the chemistry of the actors and their abilities, not based on their resemblance to original cast members. Ideally, the cast will look different from the original series cast.

I have to agree with this. The Xena Reboot should have different interpretations of the characters to not just be channeling the original cast.

Britt Robertson as Gabrielle. She looks more than a little like her, but more importantly, she has many of Renee O'Connor's mannerisms. It's not as apparent in her movies, but I recently watched her short-lived TV series, The Secret Circle and it was uncanny.

Gina Varela is a Greek Kiwi actress. She has done TV shows, feature films. Her acting debut was in the Xena episode "Whose Gurkhan?" as the slave Milda. I think it would make sense casting a genuine Greek actress in the role. Because Xena is from ancient Greece.

For Xena I'd cast Ingrid Oliver
If she can do a good American accent then go for it.
For Ares I want Tom Ellis. Here he is as basically the same character in Merlin, a big, cocky, egotistical guy who dresses in leather and fights with a crazy blonde.

Alti I would cast Jill Wagner. She played a mad evil bitch called Kate Argent in Teen Wolf. She's a great villain and she's got the evil, sexy MILF that you want to get tortured by thing going on like Claire Stansfield.
