Ginger is one of the most disgusting and reprehensible characters put on film. Though I love how she was written, and how it ties into Rothstein's character. It paints him as a naive, blue-pilled desperate fool who is thinking too much with his dick and confusing it with love. After some of the stuff she says and does in this movie, I wouldn't blame the guy if he wanted to murder her. His anger and distrust was justified, and I never felt that he treated her poorly, or when he did, it's purely her fault because she keeps willingly coming back to him of her own accord. I was hoping someone would kill her. Nicky's character is just as disloyal and disrespectful, but then again, Rothstein wasn't funneling his life's earnings into Nicky's account, was he?

. Would've liked to see De Niro's character get a few hits on her towards the end. But I guess he decided to be the better person. Probably the most respectable and moral character in the film. Despite the fact that he tried to get into a relationship, knowingly, with a dollar-store whore who just leeches dudes for money to appear otherwise.
He gave her everything she wanted and she still decided to go off and be a crazy slut.
Kidnapping a man's child? Doing drugs in front of your own child? Cheating on a man that gives you everything you want?
Fuck. Do women even know what they want? This one surely didn't.
Never a more convincing argument to go MGTOW.

There are people like that in this world. Some people are their own worst enemy. They can't seem to get out of their own way.

I found her character interesting in the sense that she is perfectly written to be central to most of the drama, and to provide the strongest emotional response in the viewer. A lot of the other difficulties and shortcomings that characters in
Casino
face aren't as interesting or relatable. She's a total train-wreck. Awful to watch, but you can't look away. You just have to know what new low she's going to reach next. -

Ginger didn't do anything. She was cool until Ace tried controlling her every move. That's what I love so much about that film: the realism of human nature. I don't know about the mob lifestyle enough to tell how real that part was.
Ace fell in love with what he saw of her the first time. He should have left well enough alone. But he didn't. He's the one that ultimately made her self-destruct. It's too bad he lived until the end while most everyone else died. He should have at least got his ass kicked or something. I feel like he didn't suffer enough. Ace was the character I hated the most. -

Also, another important detail I failed to mention about Ace and Ginger.
You see how Ace was with his money? He didn't realize that Ginger was the same way about hers. And when they separated, Ace got that new lover. How much of his money do you think Ace gave that bitch? That wasn't in the movie but it should have been because Ace wasn't as sympathetic character like the narrative made it. I still love the film with all my heart even though I hated Ace. The movie is a masterpiece because of all these things. -
