If I made this movie I would have made a slight change to the ending. When they were in the cemetary over her grave I would have told Morse to adlib something like ''your daughter was a beautiful girl. When I was holding her as she was dying do you want to know what she said? She apologized to ME for not looking both ways as if she felt she caused the accident. I was drunk and she apologized to me for the accident! You raised a beautiful girl.'' or words to that effect
