Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — The Crossing Guard

Dialogues were meaningless, some scenes were silly and nonsense (Robin Wright dance arghh!!) and a crappy ending.
I' m not a 14 years old kid who only watch slasher movies or action movies, I'm
an adult who like to watch movies of Kubrick, Truffault, Chabrol, Antonioni like other kind of movies but this movie really sucks.
It' s an awful boring movie that pretends to be an intellectual movie.

It was not to everyone's taste and frankly Penn should stick to acting!
      Its that man again!!

this movie speaks to those who have children. the thought of losing a child would be the end of the world for most people. i have no idea how i would react.
the crossing guard is hard to watch but i can certainly relate to the grief one would feel as a parent. im pretty sure the message of this movie was was not meant to be about the music or dancing of th era.

          DON'T MIND IF I DO!
          (well, maybe not "Traffault")

          Shuji Terayama forever.

Well I didn't think it was that bad - but I do agree it had some grating moments. I liked the ending, though.
