People with mental illnesses can't help it. Don't base everything on one experience you had. You shouldn't wish for someone to die because you personally didn't like them. If I wished people I didn't like dead, you'd be going bye-bye right now.

In my opinion they loved eachother and they wanted to stay together but they knew that she needed to get help before she could put herself into a real relationship she had to work through the other relationships in her life. But they still talk obvi as you can see through the letter and they prob just realize they will be together soon i mean chris o donnel is really cute in this movie and she would be CRAZY not to go back to him.
