I heard Fairuza Balk had been considered for it, and I think she'd've been GREAT. She looks more like the comic book Tank Girl than Lori Petty doesFairuza has that huge, crazy-ass evil grin.

Someone said Fairuza Balk and that's an interesting suggestion, I can see how she'd probably look more like TG in the comics, facially anyway but I can't really imagine anyone but Petty having played her.

Jenny could pull it off, so can Fairuza Balk. However, Lori hit some of those lines dead on funny. It's some big shoes to fill IF they ever remake. Which now that this thread popped up, they will.

If they were to do another Tank Girl (which they aren't, sorry, I love the comics and the movie but) I'd say go with an Australian, New Zealander, or British actress.
Here's my short list:
Zoe Bell (she's from New Zealand AND she's an awesome actress/stunt lady)
Mia Wasikowska (Australian, cute, kinda has a Tank Girl face)
Kaya Scodelario (British, in the show Skins, but would she be willing to cut her hair?)

DAKOTA FANNING???NOOOOO! She's just a little girl,for Christ's sake!It takes a lot of rough attitude to pull off Tank Girl.She's funny,she's dirty,and she's filthy.Dakota Fanning is a pretty child that plays helpless children,..not a female who has become an outlaw by her Sexual escapades and other things! If you read the comics,you'd see what she is like. Tank Girl can only be played by Lori Petty.I hate remakes,of any kind. It just shows how lazy Hollywood is that they cant think of anything new. There are so many remakes these days that it is really sad. Pleeeeze,..dont remake TG!!
