i dont think they do. their roles in this film hasnt exactly made their careers worse or anything. they have all gone on to bigger and better things.

Plus this just seems like a film they probably had fun making. Theres no way they chose this movie and knew it would be an oscar winner, so they probably just enjoyed themselves.

Actually, I saw Patrick Swayze and Wesley Snipes on a talk show shortly after this movie was made. They BOTH said it was lots of fun, but that they had to spend forever in makeup every morning.

I saw an interview with Wesley Snipes and he said that he enjoyed making it, but he said basically "Been there, done that, not going back!". Even though he enjoyed doing it it's not the type of role he would ever want to do again.
He did say he has a lot more respect for drag queens now though 🙂

                No.
It was a fun, funny film and it didn't slow down or damage their careers, so why should they?

It's a good little movie with a good little meaning. Everyone involved with the film should be proud.

Why would they wish they had never made it? The movie is hysterical, and the acting by three straight men was incredible. Sounds funny, but it takes balls to do a movie like this. They all were established stars who didn't have to do the film. The fact that they did it so well, and are all very respected men makes them all the more awesome.

i very much doubt it. they did something they wouldn't normally do, it appears they had a good time and although i think they wouldn't want to do it again, it doesn't mean they would regret doing it in the first place. some things you only do once, had a good time but wouldn't do again. this seems to be it

There are tons of movies where men dress like women. I doubt any of them regretted making those films. They were usually their most successful.

I don't think so. I saw them on Oprah, after it came out and they were laughing and joking about it. Plus after Patrick Swayze died, John L. said that he liked doing the movie with him and Wesley. Also that isn't the 1st time that I saw JL as a woman.

I think they should all be proud of their roles in this movie (& I hope they were/are), even aside from the fact that I just love this movie & it's message & meaning, I think the movie illustrates their amazing acting ability, & how seamlessly they fell into their roles. I think especially with Patrick Swayze & Wesley Snipes, they wouldn't exactly be the first people to pop into your head for a role like this, & that just makes this movie all the more amazing in my eyes. It sounds so cheesy, but every time I catch this movie on tv, I just have to watch it, & it just makes my heart soar. I think it's a beautiful movie, & if I had been a part of it, I'd wear that like a badge of honor.

I enjoy this film very much and saw it twice upon original release, the second time the next day after the first. The film has a lot of heart. I like the performances and characters and minority opinion here, but I prefer it to Priscilla, which I find a bit crass and crude in comparison.

All 3 drag queens were perfectly cast, along with the rest of the support.
Gary Oldman was apparently offered one of the roles, but didn't want to do after all the make-up issues he had with doing Dracula.
