Was this really a shocking ending? (imo the ending is the worst part)

Really like this movie. But the ending imo is the worst part.
Isn't it the most obvious mystery gimmick to have the bad guy be the the one who on the surface looks the most harmless? Just surprised people were shocked that Verbal is Soze
Plus he "made the whole thing up" how's that not a copout ending it's maybe a little better than a movie ending with it all being a dream.
I liked everything before the ending -

The shock ending was that a big part of the story was made up (it wasn't "the whole thing") and based on the clippings on the board. I doubt that was obvious to you. It's not a "cop out" because it's what the whole movie was working towards. Great movie, great revelation and great ending.

Sorrymaybe next time they'll include a car chase or two, and some good explosions, and a pretty actress with a large chest. That'll keep up your interest.

Tenser, said the Tensor.
Tension, apprehension, and dissension have begun. -

Wasn't there a pretty big explosion and a (reasonably) attractive girl (albeit) a small chest?
As for the movie, it was ok. Maybe if I had seen in back in '95 instead of '10 I would've found it more exciting because the moment Spacey made the scene, I knew who Soze was. -

It's frankly just a play on "The butler did it!" where basically the least suspecting, least terrifying person is the criminal.
