for drwomb ab mbrad-3: nobody asked you if you like this topic or not. If you wish to contribute to a thread you either stay on topic and add a comment that concerns the topic at hand or shut up instead of being wiseguys (if either of you is a girl you get the point). So the topic may seem gay to you but your interests are your own and everyone is entitled to an oppinion. In the future spare us your unmeasurable intelect and find something useful to do with your time other than pick on others.

I know it's animated, but my favorite dragon movie of all time is The Flight Of Dragons. I also liked Eragon, Reign Of Fire, How To Train Your Dragon and of course the old classic Pete's Dragon. Dragonheart was ok. The worst dragon movie of all time has got to be 2007's Dragon Wars. Shouldn't really have too high of expectations for this low-budget foreign (Korean made) film anyways, but it was really really bad.

Overall Eragon is nice. Such films i call "watchable". But there was one thing that made me madwho the fck designed a dragon with bird wings?! And feathers.Man, that sucks.
As I see things - I cannot name 5 decent dragon movies. There simply aren't any. This genre is strangely umpopular and the few films made arelet's saypoor.. -

I haven't seen many that I can think of. But I liked Reign of Fire and Pete's Dragon. Dragonheart was a little cornier than I had hoped for, but OK. Anyone ever read Anne McCaffrey's Pern books? Now that would be something to see come to the big screen, in my opinion.

eragon was rubbish compared to the book
Wrong, the book and the movie were CRAP! The book was just a bunch of fantasy cliches (Harry Potter, not being the best fantasy books/movies in terms of character deepness and such specific literarian questions, have quite interesting plots that handle cliches and common places [like the orphan seeking for revenge] in a superior way to all its imitator, like Eragorn) that look pathetic and silly compared with LOTR and Harry Potter; and the movie only looks good compared with the camp '80s sword and sorcery movies (like the overculted Beastmaster). -

I adore Anne McCaffrey's novels! I think I've read every series she's published (at least the sci-fi/fantasy ones). The Pern books are what got me hooked on her.
Several attempts have apparently been made to bring the books to the big (or small) screen, but nothing has come of it yet. As much as I would love to see them, I'm afraid that, like many books that are made into movies, it will never be able to do justice to her vision. -

Cinema have not been kind to dragons, I can't name a single good movie that revolved around dragons. Dragonheart was probably the closest, but even then, the movie is still pretty eh. So-So, not great, nor bad. Although the visuals to this day are still amazing.
Heck, although I haven't seen Eragon, from what I seen in the commercials, Draco looks alot more believable then that one. Dragonheart was truly ahead of it's time -

Dragonheart
Flight of Dragons
Dragonheart 2 (Please don't hurt me, it was OK in my opinion)
Spirited Away (Because Haku is kickarse)
Pete's Dragon
I saw this one movie which was surpsingly recent but very low budget called "Dragon", it was as bland as it's title. Honestly, it was so appallingly bad I wondered how the hell it managed to get onto Sky Movies. The acting was terrible, the lines were cheesy and the CGI dragon was so bad, it looked like something from an old computer game.
The best bit was watching this guy get his face burned off by the dragon. Again, the bad special effects made it look like he had hot ketchup exploding off him in stop motion, it was hilarious.
