It's not that it sucked big time compared to the first one, it's just that the sequel completely strayed from the plot, tone, and even characters of the original. Yes, it did suck. In fact, it sucked balls. But the real point here is that it sucked.

Yeah, but you gotta love Matt Frewer
Just think what he could have done with a REAL script.
The space-age supercity inside the internet is pretty cool, too

I think you said it all with, "it sucked!" I am actually watching it right now, and it blows. The first one was pretty bad, I haven't seen it in ages, but at least I have a little bit of memory of it being somewhat entertaining. This one caught me way off guard with it's sheer horridness. I almost can't believe they got anyone to produce this mash of illogical, incongruent, non-relative, poorly-filmed & written & acted piece of cinematography hooey. The effects are just so poor, and the acting,.bah.
So the big question is: Why am I even still watching it and why don't I change the channel since I'm suffering its effects on HBO? I can't believe it can possibly be as dreadful as this ALL the way through,.
or can it? Bah. -

Actually, you won't appreciate the suckiness of this film unless you actually watch it. They should let all the upcomming film students watch this movie so that they learn what NOT to put in a filmand not to make it suck.

This movie had me cracking up within the first 15 minutes. The overuse of "futuristic" beep words and phrases is pretty amusing as well.
Oh well even though the movie blows at least Matt Frewer is still cool no matter what. Instead of the Jobe image, they should have actually made him as Max Headroom instead for the movie.
