don't understand the lack of enthusiasm for it - style, humour, Hitchcockian plot and Jennifer Connelly.
    Marvellous stuff

I doubt Mulholland Falls would be shown on Space.

I am glad I rented it and saw it last night. It is better than most films, just not up there with Chinatown and LA Confidential.
At least Melanie Griffith had a strong role and Jen Conneley had a speaking part. I was glad they exposed the cancer ward to viewers. The entire story took these urban fish out of their comfort zone into a completely new space.

It is actually a great film though I wouldn't call it ''Hitchcockian'' because I am not the biggest fan of Hitchcock and only saw a few similarities in style. The thing I really love about this film is the fact that the four main protagonists are all middle-aged - and over-weight in varying degress. It was an adult film free of all the pretty youngsters that plague a lot of films and distract from the realism.

                i liked it too
haven't enjoyed one this much in a long long time. i could write a page about it, but dont have time. nolte was great. liked chazz the best, i think he had a good role and performed it well. the whole thing was well written, with suspense at every turn which is RARE these days. this movie reminded me of how movies USED TO make me feel. intrigued, entertained, a thoughtful ending.
the kind that leaves you feeling kinda wistful, existential, yet satisfied and positive
can't believe i skipped over it all these years. geesh, i should kick my own @rse for that
