I think 'The Rock' is the best action movie ever made.. come on!! the plot, the script, the acting, directing and the score!!
Do you agree? If not, what is the best action movie ever made then? -

I enjoyed the movie but thought it was too cheesy in parts and extraordinarily unrealistic in others. My favorite is "Heat"
Heat is more of a crime drama/thriller than an action movie. It has a great shootout but it's not really apart of the genre.
To answer to the OP's question, it's certainly one of them, I think.

Thanks, I'd be lost without your guidance.
You're welcome. Although I know you're being sarcastic I'll take it as a compliment anyway. My point still stands though, Heat is not an action movie.

It's entertaining, and is Michael Bay's best film, but it doesn't touch the likes of Die Hard. The car chase is obviously chucked in for effect, and there's an over-abundance of cheesy slo-mo and empty clich. I see it as a dumb-but-fun thrill ride with a fantastic score.

The score is awful, just generic Zimmer "Do-Do, Do Do-Do, Do Do-Do, Do Do-Do Do" played in whenever something is moving fast on screen.
Massively overrated film, feels like a patchwork knock-off of action movies from the previous 10 years. Writers are TV-movie hacks, Bay's a hack, Cage is miscast, only redeeming feature is it doesn't feel 2+ hours long.
The best action directors actually care about the material they're working off and try to keep things grounded in reality with believable characters but this had head-slap stupid moments every couple of minutes.
Bay still thinks he's directing music videos and a poor imitation of Tony Scott. -

This is yet another Bay piece of crap. Just about everything about this thing is bad. The most ridiculous part is of course the description of VX the the depiction of how it works. To compare this to Die Hard, is just plain wrong. Die Hard was fun, this is pure torture to sit through. Cage is unbearably lame and Connery just seems overly arrogant and boring. The terrorist soldiers at more goofy than badass. It's all a huge mess. Usual Michael Bay low quality movie.

Really? That was the best you could do, as your opinion differed from mine? An open question was asked, and I answered it as I saw fit. So by your account, everyone who does not think this movie is fantastic, is not allowed to voice an opinion, and are by default "trolling"? You're a moron. The only one here posting redundant crap is you. beep off.
