    We can't just say becuase some scenes were filmed in Miami and the others in Mexico City that this predominates which location it's set in.
    There are the scenes on the beach, so I'm guessing it's a costal city. The strong Latin influence and the religious iconography everywhere seems more Southern California, but in suggesting Florida the Hawiian shirts and open carry guns seem more southern, and Juliet's mother has that Southern Belle accent.
    I'm sure these dueling distinctions were made to deliberately blur the setttng, but I was wondering if there's anything in particular that tips the scale towards So Cal or Fl specifically
