      Sunrise
is my #1 favorite film of all time.
      Titanic
is #2. However, for the most part, the vast majority of Best Picture winners have not impressed me in the slightest.

They're usually not the best movie of the year.

I watched Everything Everywhere all At Once twice, and still don’t understand how this is a good movie. I thought it sucked.

Sadly I have not seen 70% of those iconic films. The 1960s was kick ass decade for best picture. Thats for sure.

There seems to be one film pulling ahead in most decades. A bit surprised at how the '70s vote is going, tbh, but it's a good choice. That's probably the most solid decade overall.

Looking at this list convinced me there's never been a good movie made.

I did a similar thing for each decade in the following link which are "19xxs Decade":

I'm also working on the ranked list of Best Picture Winners (still have 5 more left to watch) and may reevaluate 2 or 3 like A Man for All Seasons:

                      1920s - not seen
1930s - I chose Gone with the Wind just slightly over All Quiet on the Western Front
1940s - very difficult choice, many great films, and maybe I should watch Casablanca again but right now I would pick Hamlet
                      1950s - Ben-Hur, easiest choice so far
                      1960s - Lawrence of Arabia
                      1970s - Patton
                      1980s - Amadeus
1990s - Titanic, even though I did not care hardly at all about the story between Jack and Rose the rest of the movie was magnificently crafted
                      2000s - A Beautiful Mind
2010s - the era of woke begins, Parasite
                      2020s - none
Except for maybe Ben-Hur none of these films would be my favorite overall for each decade

                        Good thread.
I still can’t believe how overrated No country for old men is.
Its only selling point is unconventional story telling. The emperors new clothes of films if there ever was one.
Thats it, I’m going to clown college

Last chance to get your votes in before I create the second poll in the morning. There's currently a tie in the '90s.
