Well, Qatar did give Fat Donnie a 747 that cost nearly a half a billion dollars and Beavis trump gets his very own golf course in Qatar, so I suppose that an Air Force Base was the very least Donnie figured he could do.
Why in Idaho? Idaho is a bright red state and maybe Donnie must figure he is doing them some kind of favor by putting Goatfucker AFB there. Or the location might have been Greasy Pete's idea. There are a few AFBs in that geographic neck of the woods, Mountain Home, Fairchild, Malmstrom and Ellsworth are all out there in or near the wasteland, so Goatfucker AFB will not be isolated. Maybe they can all share military secrets. -

Qatar is a major ally of the U.S. in the Middle East and lets the U.S. (and other NATO countries) use some or all of Qatar's big military airbases. The U.S. is going to build a
facility
on an existing Air Force base in Idaho that will allow Qatari pilots to get training on U.S. fighter jets. It's just a reciprocal military deal. Stuff like this has been going on for decades. (No, the U.S. is NOT building an air base fot Qatar in Idaho… just a training facility on an existing base.) -

Yeah, this got blown WAY the F out of proportion. Here's some further facts:
So many individuals are not understanding a few simple things:
Qatar isn't building a military base in Idaho. It's building a training facility at a US military base for its pilots that will be flying the F-15 that have been sold to Qatar.
Singapore already has a training facility at the same US military base.
The US trains foreign military at many US military bases across the country.
Qatar was designated as a Major Non-NATO Ally (MNNA) by President Biden in 2022, which gives Qatar special military and economic privileges, although it does not include a mutual defense pact.
The relationship with Qatar goes back starting over a decade under the Obama administration and continuing under the Trump administration and the Biden administration.
The Biden administration sold 35 F-15s (the one that Qatar pilots will be trained on at training facility at the US military base in Idaho) to Qatar.
The training facility wasn't just something that was just announced recently. An environmental assessment for the training facility began around 2020, and the assessment was completed in 2022. -

Ah yes. Like the 400 million dollar 747 Qatar gave Humpty-trumpty. That kind of "reciprocal military deal." Or the golf course that Beavis trump gets in Qatar. That is a "reciprocal military deal" also.
