Good for you, you turned the movie off!
I thought it was hilarious! As has already been pointed out, you do not watch a movie called "The STUPIDS" and expect anything elsesame goes for movies like "Dumb and Dumber"
It's well worth a watch just watch it with a view to it being funny and stupid!! -

I knew it would be a stupid movie (hence the title) but it was just ridicoulous. I hated this movie. And I LOVE stupid movies (ie Zoolander, Undercover Brother, etc)

This film is indeed stupid, but it is absolutely hilarious! how can anyone not like this film? Behind Borat it made me laugh the most
I'm my own grandpa is the best song ever, and also i think the actors are great - you've got to be good at acting to pull off something as silly as this! -

Because the movie title isn't "Scarface", or "The Godfather", then people obviously wont think its good because those two movies are the pinnacle of anything cinematic these days and comedy is apparently just a piece of crap that nobody cares for.
I love this movie. I'm almost 17, and I still crack up. Gotta love Christopher Lee, especially how if you notice when he goes to the newspaper office, he's still glowing red like he was in his lair.

Yes, the movie was stupid. But it was also funny. I thought I was in trouble when he walked out of his house and he has his stupid checklist that says to check things and to cross something off. Then I saw the decor of their house and the fact that they were laying upside down with the feet on the pillows. But the fact was, there are a lot of movies that are intended to be stupid. Popeye, PeeWee's Big Adventure, etc. They are just plain stupid and that's that. But I did laugh over him thinking like a bush and I laughed over the wigs that she stuck all over her body to hide from the police. It's something that you watch when you are feeling down. Hey, I watch the Monkees.

How the hell can you like Zoolander but hate The Stupids? Zoolander was a piece of trash. It's like they didn't even try. The Stupids had some good sequences AND good one liners.
"Actually it's pronounced Lloyd"
"All these years we've been saying it wrong"
"Lets, give it to the fat guy"
I saw this movie as a caricature, or satire of virtually any other serious film with similar plotlines. I mean, look at the final sequence, with all the "bad" guys running around like chooks without heads, while the "good" guys carelessly walk about. It was ridiculous (of course).
All in all, I had a good laugh, so it was worth it. -

I think this is a smart movie (although the title is stupid). If you can't get the humor then you are probably a relative of stanley stupid. Plus this came from 90s. Most comedy films today are all about racism (Borat, Bruno, The dictator, Get hard, Walk hard etc. I miss the 80s and 90s humour. Leslie Nielsen films are one of my favorites.

I liked this movie. I mean, the whole plot of a man being so dumb he doesn't know his garbage is supposed to be taken away by sanitation workers is pretty funny along with him riding on the garbage truck to find out where his garbage is getting taken. Then it gets to the dump and he says, "Wow! They've taken everyone's garbage! I've uncovered one of the biggest scams in history!"
Green Goblin is great!
