As a father of 5, I must admit that I love this movie & the irreverence of it!!
My kids still love it & my wife still kills herself with the Drive B whenever she sees a bee near the car!!!
Some people just take life way too seriously!!!!

i dont remember exactly how the dialog goes but the scene when tom arnold thinks that he's a man-bush slays me every time i even think of it. "Oh almighty man-bush! I am alive" or something like that. great stuff.
or when the cgi cat tries to climb up on the kitchen counter and by the time he gets there is wheezing like an old man. it's a totally pointless scene that they obviously just put in there for filler but man it's funny.

The drive bee is the funniest part, and the I'm my own Grampa thing was brilliant. This is one of those movies where it's so idiotic that it borders on being sheer brilliance.

dont know bout my favorite but one of them i cant choose just one but i wanna say this one cause i dont imagine it being said i like the scene where they are trying to start the car and he thinks the battery is dead and he goes and touches it or whatever and says
Stanley Stupid:Wait a minute. What am I doing? I've cooked up some insane conspiracy theory and put myself in the middle of an illegal weapons deal with some of the world's most dangerous men. I've risked my life and the lives of my family in a scheme that makes absolutely no sense at all. Insight fading. I must remember not to go forward with this.
Joan Stupid:What is it, Stanley? What are you supposed to remember?
                  Stanley Stupid:UmI don't know.
i think this is one of the best parts cause the rest of the movie could almost not have happened if he just remembered i just think his whole explenation of what he was doing might have been funnier if it was longer and/or explained in one long sentence

I don't know why everyone (okay many) seem to be so impressed by "I'm my own Grandpa". Why? Because it's a "traditional" shtick, the movie didn't "create" it, just used it.
I more enjoyed the jokes incorporated that were unique to the movie.
Gas station attendant: There's a whole in your gas tank.
Stanley Stupid: Yeah, how else is the gas supposed to get in there?
                          Gas station attendant:
                          before that:
Stanley Stupid's gas tank gets shot, strewing gas on the road.
Stanley attempts to fiddle with the radio, but fiddles with the cigarette lighter, instead.
In disgust he throws the useless cigarette lighter out the window - and ignites the jeep following him.
                          That's original. "I'm my own Grandpa" wasn't.

I always loved the small scene where Petunia pulls the grenade and is all fascinated with the 'ring.'
And I love in the beginning how Buster only writes down some of what Petunia is saying so it turns out so say 'Police kidnapped your children.'
My favorite Joan scene is very small. It's when the family is in the car and they're about to head off to Warehouse 21, and Stanley says "Good work, team" (or something along those lines) then Joan smiles at him all lovely, before twisting her head towards the front and squinting. It's hard to explain the movement, but its just cracks me up.
And the thing I like best about the "I'm my Own Grampa" scene would have to be the way everyone was bouncing their heads. It's so absolutely ridiculous!
Well, this whole movie is ridiculous, but thats why we love it!

To me the best scenes in the movie were the scenes with Bob Keeshan ("Captain Kangaroo"). This is the only reason that I watched this movie. Bob basically played a demented version of the Captain and I thought it was hysterical. Over the top, but still hysterical.

The best scene is Christopher Lee as the Evil Sender, he really has fun with the small role and the set is over the top with its hellish atmosphere. Lee was the main reason I watched the film, but it is a fun silly movie that I like to watch from time to time, but I think I will have to see again soon it has been a while.

"Let's GIVE IT TO THE FAT GUY!" and the closing statement: Trust In The Lloyd.
I don't know how anyone could be rationally angry at this movie in any way. It's called "The Stupids." That guarantees stupidity. It's truth in advertising. It tells you quickly and precisely what you're in for when you pop in the tape or disc. It's like a vehement George W. Bush hater getting mad that the movie "W." is about George W. Bush. Pointless.
