This is far and away from the most disturbing film ever made. But being disturbed can be rather subjective.
I'd say that Martyrs (2008), A Serbian Film, Cannibal Holocaust, etc. are far more disturbing in content. But I know some people that can watch all of these movies in a day no problem, if I did that it'd mess up my ability to sleep okay for weeks more than likely. As much as I hate to admit it.

And yes I've seen Cannibal Holocaust and no I don't need to see A Serbian Film. And Martyrs was disappointing. Coulda been great coulda been a modern day Psycho.

I have seen all the movies mentioned here by people. If you ask me August Underground's Mordum is by far more disturbing then all of them.

I find Rosewood and Deliverance to be highly disturbing in their own rights.

Old ass topic, but: Salo/120 Days of Sodom was just stupid/goofy. Visitor Q was forgettable. I used to search for the most disturbing movies, and finally found a winner:
Men Behind the Sun (the 1st one). Not only in terms of story either: Hell, the Chinese used real human corpses/body parts for that movie because corpses were cheaper than their makeup effects (not to mention their makeup effects were way behind the times, so they didn't even bother w/ fake gore).

The film that has disturbed the most so far has been Requiem For A Dream. It is a great film but I hated every bit of it. That beep left me sick for like two days.

Requiem is in my top 3 favourite movies of all time. It's a masterpiece, but yes, also very disturbing.

I cant bear to watch ppl getting whipped (neither animals). I feel sick after a while.
Amistad was bad. Dumping the ppl into the ocean was so disturbing on top.
I also didnt made it through the first minutes of 12 years a slave.
Lincoln Lee: I lost a partner.
Peter Bishop: I lost a universe!
