Why was the mom in the freeway when Paltrow escaped. Did she know that that's where she would go, what if she didn't go to the freeway, where was she actually going?
Also, what a day to show a movie like this, it's mother's day. -

Maybe there was only one freeway next to Martha's barn; maybe the "neighbor & accomplice" told "Martha" where the Paltrow's character ran away.
Showing this movie at Mother's day was just dark humor, courtesy from your cable local network.
