They must have gotten out of preproduction and down to business sooner than expected. Sometimes people who are considered to be cast in a film are put to work as stand-ins or used in crowd scenes. If this happened to you, perhaps we might see you if you could tell us which scenes you were in.

Too right Molly - happened to me more than once (eg in The Saint, with Val Kilmer, Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart - both times the role was downgraded to a "backgrounder", and both times other commitments came up that meant I didn't even take the consolation role.

If you're "not an actress of any kind" then why did you nearly have the part? Sorry if that sounded rude but, I mean, they would have had audtions and stuff which would have required, you know, acting. Or do you mean that you haven't had any professional acting work? Anyway congratulations on getting that far! Better luck next time

I don't know the girl who played France Griffiths, but I do sort of know her sister, my step sister is really good friends with her, the girls sister is also an actress.

When it comes to casting children they often don't want professionals because it's too easy for them to get over-rehearsed and don't appear as natural. I read somewhere that this was why JonBenet Ramsey was not considered a good prospect for Hollywood. She came off as unreal, doll-like, mechanical, stiff, according to the acting coach who auditioned her. She said she'd seen it all before, this happens to a lot of child actors.
Happppppppppppppppy New Year!
