Yes. Icon is Mel's company. And one of the producers of "Fairy Tale" was Bruce Davey, who's definitely "Mel's guy." He also produced "Man Without a Face," "Braveheart" and "The Passion of the Christ," among many other movies. -

Mel Gibson didn't think that the movie was SERIOUS enough? How serious can you get with a movie about fairies? I mean, PLEASE.
Fairies are hard things to deal with. Maybe he didn't like that they made it look like the fairies are real or something

Actually faries are quite serious- they orginate from greecian myths and are linked to the underworld (aka Hades) and in ancient times stepping in a fairy ring or offending the "good folk" could get you and your whole family killed.I think Mel is to be commended for a truly good movie about them.
