Why isn't Mel Gibson properly credited in the actor's list in the movie? (didn't he want to show his name?!)

Actually faries are quite serious- they orginate from greecian myths and are linked to the underworld (aka Hades) and in ancient times stepping in a fairy ring or offending the "good folk" could get you and your whole family killed.I think Mel is to be commended for a truly good movie about them.
