Novelazations don't excuse plot holes (if this really is one).
They also carry more details of the story than the final film does. And the novelization contained photos of scenes NOT in the movie, so it must've been closer to the original script. There was a scene where Kurt gives Ed a pony to bribe him, and Ed rides it into Mondo Burger, and there's a photo of him on the horse, but that wasn't in the movie either.

"It's explained in the novelization" is like saying "It's explained in the sequel/the book its based on/the T.V. spin-off": They're not valid excuses.

That isn't a plot hole. Some vegetarians do work in fastfood and do sell meat.

Or that they like working with people and are service-minded!
Why would an environmentalist ever buy and use a computer? They are filled with crap that never break down fully! 😄

Believe me, if no other job is hiring and you desperately need the money you will take any job even if you are totally against what it sells. You'll find a lot of people like that.

It's like an atheist working at a Christian book store. Weird but it happens.

What's a christian book store? A book store that sells 1 book?

                        Wikipedia says:
Osteen has written 7 New York Times Bestselling books.
Holy bologna! People are eating it!

Osteen is most commonly known as one of the infomercial televangelists that are on tv early Sunday mornings, along with his super mega sized church and even bigger

                          home.
                          Taken from Wikipedia also:

Yes, we should write a self help book but we also need to be like these guys and sell religion. Another big one is Robert Tilton, Peter Popoff, Kirk Cameron, The Banana Man.
