Everyone has a period in their lives where they are at the very best they will ever look. For Gwyneth this movie was that period. Everything about her was stunning. Her hair, her body, her skin. Everything was working for her.
In fairness she still looks gorgeous now. A lot better than a lot of actresses that started out at the same time as her. Even after having kids her body still looks the same as it did in this movie. -

I agree. The scene where she strips and poses nude for Ethan Hawke is stunning. She has all of the power in this scene and that comes through in her performance. She shows absolute confidence and control throughout with her facial expressions and body movements. Definitely one of her great moments as an actress.

That's not a typical dude, just aesthetic appreciation for a tastefully done, very very sexy movie all the way around. To be tantalized from childhood through early adult and into full adulthood! Hawk was phenomenal and so was Paltrow in putting over the breathlessness. She was strikingly lit and gently edited in this. You might also like Shallow Hal (very sexy) and Sylvia (very intelligent) Gwyneth Paltrow is one of the greats our time like Garbo, Grable and Monroe.

I had never seen this (and still have the last quarter to watch, not one of my Gwyneth faves so far). Agree she looks beautiful in this movie, also Sliding Doors and Perfect Murder (I wanted her entire wardrobe!). I think all around 97-98.
