Hi everyone,
I am one who also loves this movie. In the scene where Birdie's mom, Gena Rowlands dies, those tears were real, because Sandra Bullock had recently lost her real-life mom. She is a great actress, and I'm sure she can cry on cue anytime, but the pain of loss was real, and I feel that she handled her part beautifully. As for Bernicewhat a talented little actress!

That scene gets me everytime.especially having just lost my own Mother 23 months ago.
