it's just his best movie. no bs. no stylized nonsense like people making cartoon boxes on the screen. no silliness and not too many pop culture references as a crutch for dialogue.
this and reservoir dogs are his best, and this one's truly his most developed and complete, character-driven and intelligent movie.
