I'm sorry, but this movie has given rise to the worst bunch of comments I've ever read on IMDB. The only thing I can figure is that Tarantino's films appeal mainly to simple-minded people, therefore, simple-minded comments. Whatever happened to comments indicative of insightful cinematic concepts? It's a movie, people, not "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."

You have made one of the silliest generalizations I have ever come across!!! and if that is the ONLY thing you can figure oh well in that case I would like to believe that I can figure a few things about you starting with the fact that you make silly generalizations, too quick to judge others and all-in-all not very bright because bright people do not make silly generalizations, nor do they judge people they have never known or even seen before in their life!!! I figure you out to be a college student who hasn't yet been taught about making a proper statement; if you're past your college years then you have a serious problem but if you're not there yet then you're forgiven. -

OK..jinster666.aka 'mark of the beast!' You don't believe one word of that stupid swill you posted; simply because you didn't have a come back for those who responded to your ignorant post!
You came here to start some $h!!..and it didn't work! Instead..you got your "simple minded" head handed to you through the internet!
What's really sad is that your DUM ARSE wasn't even smart enough to represent your stance regarding this film with a 'comment indicative of insightful cinematic concepts,' to prove that you know what the heck you are talking about! Furthermore, your use of "Keeping up with the Kardashians; was a weak-a$$ attempt to sound like you are speaking about something relevant.WHAT A MISERABLE FAIL.GO PLAY ON THE FREEWAY!!!

In JB, the dialog isn't meant to witty. It's meant to be relevant and revealing. The characters aren't meant to be flamboyant and larger than life. Instead they're common and real.
You see JB, may be QT's only melodramatic movie. And the only one of his movies that is driven by story more than dialog. But even with that, in JB it's important to listen to the dialog, and even more important to pay attention to the non-verbal communication.
I think Jackie Brown is QT's "Vertigo". -

And this is a totally pointless post. This movie is the one Tarantino's movie which was an adaptation, and even then he brought his skilled touch with interesting characters and great dialogues. Plus, as others pointed out, it's really engrossing how the characters are natural and look more like real people with their flaws and their personal strengths.
